GL Chong is a qualified chartered accountant with extensive experience and background in financial and accounting management. She is a licensed Auditor under Company Act 2016 approved by Minister of Finance, Licensed Tax Agent under Income Tax Act 1967 approved by Minster of Finance and Licensed Goods And Service Tax Agent under GST Act 2014 approved by Minister of Finance.

She is an accounting degree graduate from University of East London in 1998 and also completed her ACCA in London United Kingdom in year 2001. While studying her professional course she also work as a Controller of a subsidiaries of a main board listed company in Taiwan based in London.

She began her audit profession in Malaysia with various mid size auditing firms. During her term of service to the firm she undertook a lot of special assignments given to her by the firm partner which include fraud investigation, reconstruction of account, drafting accounting manuals, accounting, bookkeeping, circulation audit, training, due diligence, business valuation, company secretarial and so forth. She was also involved with the internal and external audit engagement for a wide range of clients and industries. She had held many positions ranging from assistant to manager and executive director level.

Besides working for public firm, GL Chong also well verse with the listed company set up where she had worked for a listed company in Malaysia before setting up her own public practice in year 2008.

GL Chong went to Ireland in year 2005 for training to become a cost reduction analyst with BCM International, an Irish owned company. Upon qualified to become a cost reduction analyst she went into a partnership with BCM International where she obtained the right to operate as a licensee in Malaysia.

GL Chong is also the managing director of BCM Strategic Solutions Sdn. Bhd. representing BCM International in Malaysia. BCM International is represented in 20 countries with more than 100 analyst worldwide. The company undertakes cost reduction project for medium to large corporations who are looking for solutions to streamline its bottom line. Other than cost reduction, BCM Malaysia services include policies and procedures drafting and recovery audit. BCM Malaysia was awarded with a certificate of recognitions on their Outstanding Achievements in year 2006 by Action International.

GL Chong also own a HRDF approved Training Center known as Western Academy Sdn. Bhd. which provide financial training for companies who required training for their financial and non-financial employees. Besides being one of the trainer for the Training Center, GL Chong is also a frequent speaker for various organsation. GL Chong had given a number of talks on how to achieve cost and tax savings and GST for company for organizations like Business Network International, Action Profit Club, Junior Chamber International Buddhist Business Association, Technological Association Malaysia and SKAL International.
